This park has come a long way since I was a kid. The Creek isn't as high but still flowing strong. Lots of birds. The new hiking trail is nice. A mix path consisting of paved and unpaved by rocks or dirt. Feel free to walk, jog, ride your bike or whatever. Pets are welcomed but must be leased out of the dog park and please curb your dog.. Seriously folks. Be responsible for your pets.. If you can't, leave them in your own yard.. The trail is Wooded on one side the other side follows the creek. IF you go off trail make sure you know what poison ivy, oak, sumac, 7min itch and other harmful plants etc looks like bc they all can be found hand n hand with each other just about every where and some plants are huge. Please don't disturbed or mess with the Geese. I saw plenty of new gosling and the adults meant business. They will slowly get out of your way so don't try to scare or yell at them. Remember to Respect all living things. The 102 Trolley Runs thru the park and there is a stop. Great idea for anyone who wants to get out of dodge and cool off but doesn't have car to get off the beaten path. This park is prefect. A cute small waterfall. The creek isn't deep so kids n dog of all ages can enjoy. The huge rocks in the creek are awesome. You can do some fishing (get your permit first)The oldest cabin the Swedish Cabin is on the trail. A great dog park. I challenge anyone to find John Fords along with Ella, John Jr and wife Annie's final resting place. Smile enjoy yourself and say hello to your fellow neighbors. A simple smile and a hello can make our community a better place!! Enjoy the outdoors!

A great place where your little buddy can meet new friends and play for hours. All the dog owners I met thus far are great easy going dog lovers just like you!

Big parking lot, two separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. Water and dog bags available. Very friendly vibe. Its soggy at times, so be prepared for muddy shoes and paws after it's rained.

Breathtaking views. Such an amazing hiking trail. The Swedish house was closed when i went but will be back to see it.

This was my first visit Wish there was a place for the fur babies parents to go potty. & the day I went the dirt was kinda moist I guess I want to say the mulch looks like it hasn't been kept up with so there is no barrier between the dirt & the dogs (the pictures I attached aren't the end result) , But all in all my Golden had a ball once someone came with a dog that had as much energy as him, But as soon as we left there we went straight to Pet Valu & I had to bath him.
