One of the cleanest parks award should go to Knob Hill Park! It was so pretty and well-maintained! The purple jacaranda trees were in bloom when we went and so pretty! The tricky part about this park is finding how to get to it. If you type in “Knob Hill Park” on google maps, it will bring you to Knob Hill Elementary School. In order to access this park, you need to drive to the end of Avenida Ricardo to find the parking lot or walk the path from Knob Hill Road (where there’s no where to really park). The adorable Forest Ranger truck was a huge hit with my little one year old son! I would have given this park 5 stars if there were restrooms. 📍Near 43 Avenida Ricardo, San Marcos, CA 92069 🚙Free parking in lot (only about 10 spaces) 💰This park is free 🎠The play structure has both standard and bucket swings and is built on a mulch ground surface 🚽NO Restrooms 🧺Two picnic tables under pavilions 🪑Park benches at playground 🚲The paved path could be good for bikes or scooters. Just keep an eye on your kids since it’s on a bit of an incline and I can see kids going down the hill fast and it does end at a busy street. 🖼Lawn 🌳Shady trees 🌟Clean grounds 🛣Far from busy roads 🏫Close to Knob Hill Elementary School so it would be a great spot to hit before or after school pickups/drop offs

Absolutely beautiful park located in San Marcos near Costco. It's hidden, big, quiet, and peaceful. Tons of grass, trees providing shade, benches, and a playground. There is one drinking fountain but no bathrooms.

It's a nice park, but I'm an adult with no kids but I like to exercise at different parks. This one was overrun with children. I know what your thinking duh your at a park. But I have been to alot of parks in the San Diego area with my wife because we like to see different things (we abosolutly hate routine). Depending on what park you go to there are different crowds and age groups. I have even been to parks overrun by senior citizens. With that being said. This is not the best atmosphere for me. It also overlooks a school. There is a very beautiful view of the mountains, a small play area, a couple swings, and a medium size grass patch where a group of let's say 12yr boys are playing football. With what looks like 1coach, and 1 parent. So these boys are basically running wild. I think next time I'll pass.
