Good park for a small multi-dog home. My idea was to go to a different/new area & meet new people & dogs… the park is empty. Luckily, I brought 2 dogs! Pros: plenty of benches, trash cans, poop rake & scooper, old trees for shade, mulch (instead of grass if your doggo has a grass allergy like mine does), fenced in with 2 entry/exit points Cons: no water fountain, every bag dispenser is empty, mulch camouflages poop, potential for bigger dogs to jump over the low fencing, transit overhead noise, only 1 side of the street parking, no bathroom

Overall it's fine for a small dog park. However the fence is maybe 3.5ft high. Any medium or large dog could easily hop over the fencing. Also there's a side gate that doesn't have the usual 2 gate safety system. It's not even latched very well. A smart dog could very easily unlatch it and escape.

convenient location #Not… freeway noise, overwhelming, the park itself is well-maintained, but clearly an afterthought. LaJolla should be able to do better than this.

It may be a nice lively/friendly place to bring your pup at certain times of the day/evening... But it was completely empty when I brought my social guy there on a Weds night just before dark. With all the University & Medical folks around this area, I guess I expected a bit more flex-schedule visitors? Regardless, this wasn't the only shortcoming. Now, if I lived nearby and we could walk here... it would probably a great lil spot to have around- particularly for small dogs, as the space isn't too large. But it's definitely not worth a 20-25min drive (or even 10-15min to ME, compared with all the other larger options still)... so thank goodness we were already in the neighborhood for something else! 😅 Again, probably great for those who live right across the street, and an extra plus if you have a small dog who can get in quite a few steps around this fairly-small fenced area... but not what I was looking for to give my 80lb socialite a good time 😣 And for such a lovely/upscale neighborhood, I guess I didn't expect it to be just a solid dirt patch... right near/under the fwy? 🙄

Pretty small park, no one's ever really there. It's clean, they never have dog poop bags though, so bring your own. It's right by the freeway, so it's a little noisy.
