La Mirada Community Park in La Mirada, California has a really lively and refreshing atmosphere that I enjoyed when I visited with someone. I saw a lot of teenagers there, and the whole place feels energetic in a way that teenagers would love. The open fields, walking areas, and places to sit don’t cost anything at all, which makes it easy to relax and have fun without needing a plan. I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and saw how naturally welcoming the park feels. It surprised me how comfortable it was to just be there without feeling rushed. Even though it’s just a community park, it gives teenagers a great place to hang out, take pictures, play sports, or just be creative outdoors. I only visited La Mirada Community Park one time in my life before making this review, but it ended up being one of the most relaxed and youthful places I’ve been to in a long time. I never doubted that the experience would turn out the way I hoped it would. I’ve lived for 24 years, but in the summer of 2024 I learned that I’m still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is more developed than the average 25‑year‑old’s. Maybe that’s why I connect so much with places that feel playful and full of energy. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to this park because it gives them a fun, open space to enjoy themselves and feel creative.

Fairly well maintained body of water within the La Mirada Park! Small enough to walk around in just a few minutes, it makes a great scenic place for a leisurely stroll, as well as a beautiful backdrop with a game of disc golf. Although large enough to lose a disc, without a dry means to reach it! Though what constitutes a lake? I pondered the question after seeing this place on the map. There doesn’t seem to be a yardstick to go by, or a scene of boats and swimmers. And while swimming isn’t permitted here, a quicken dip for a disk may understandably be par for the course! There are however large waterfowl, including ducks and geese. This so-called lake is also known for fishing and photography. Though of all my references, my Google Maps designation is good enough for me!

I really love coming here. It's my home away from home. It's got a lake, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, handball, and a world class disk golf course. They ever have concerts in the park in the summer. My husband and I saw a Beatles tribute band last month!

We've been coming here for my kids volleyball league. Keeps them busy during the off season. Its a chance for them to get game time and the staff has been great. gym is huge and clean.

The park is fine but the parking gets crowded. Other then that it’s great place for walks, walking the dog, or having a picnic or birthday party. Also July 3rd is the fireworks show. And concerts in the park. In July and August
