Beautiful sunrise watch spot.. Also one of the designated dog run areas in the city.. There are pavilions that you can rent for events. The only negative thing about this place is that it is located right next to the wastewater treatment facility, so when the wind is right, it gets quite stinky.. Sometimes to the point of nauseating. Overall, it’s a great park that doesn’t get nearly as busy as some of the other beach parks. I would add this to your list of places to check out in the city.

Great park with kids are and spacious enough to host events. There is a little trail that leads to a little "mini beach area"
Fun park to visit, has a nice trail leading behind the power plant.
Right on the shore of Lake Michigan. Well maintained and with lots of mosquitoes! Be prepared! I'm still itching a week later...
