Only dog park we love. It’s huge and fenced in and our dogs’ happiest place on earth!

My family's favorite dog park among 5 lake county dog parks!! We visited this park at least once a week for the past year and a half. The park is beautiful every season as you can see in the photos. It has a vast field, and shaded path in the wood area, so you can choose your path according to the weather. You can design your walk from minutes to hours as there are countless combinations. Of course you can meet so many nice dogs and people along the way. We never found a tick on our dog when we visited this park so far, and we know that's a huge thumbs up for some people. The only downside of Lakewood dog park is that this park doesn't have a water area. If your dog is a swimmer, We'd recommend Independence dog park or Prairie Woolf.

Great dog park! So many different trails to wander thru in the midst of all the trees. There are also several paths out of the wooded section. Plus they have a very big open grasses area for dogs to run and play together.

Dog loves it, spacious. Just wish some dogs were better at recall- saw some take down a possum. Also, people smoking!! This is a no smoking park. If there are other dogs like mine, they will eat the cigarette butts. Please stop.

I use this dog park every day. If your dog is new to the park enter through the gate on the north side (wooded side) if there a number of dogs on the play side, so as to avoid other dogs congregating at the gate which can be threatening to your own. There are trails through the woods and the "fields" and a shelter about 400 yards from the play area. Walking the perimeter of the park can take about 30 minutes since it is 60 acres. In the furthest part from the car park you will often be the only ones. Be aware there is nowhere for your dog to swim, nor anywhere to wash your dog, and only a pump for water I travel to many different states with my dogs and this is the best park in general that I know.
