The Lang Ranch neighborhood park has been around since 2002, and it has gone through one major remodel. Which included a paved path and new landscaping. The parking itself is kept very very well with the grass getting trimmed often and fertilized as well. As you can see in the pictures, the grass is green and the plants are all doing very well and it’s mid November. The park has a batting cage basketball court and numerous benches for picnics. There’s a path that goes around it which is about a quarter mile to 1/3 of a mile around and it has a little bit of a variation in elevation so you can get a good workout. Often in the morning it’s used as a dog park in the afternoon many people like to walk around the trail itself. Often on the weekends, there are football and soccer games and people like to have parties with jumpy contraptions for the kids. The playground was just upgraded within the last couple of years and is very nice. If you have the opportunity come to the Lang Ranch Park. You will not be disappointed. It is an oasis away from downtown Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village. Right next to it is the Chumash interpretive center, which is also a nice place to visit and there are numerous walking and biking trails within reach. Beware of the coyotes, they are very numerous in the area and they do not seem to be scared of human beings. So if your dog is off leash, please keep an eye on it because things can’t happen in the blink of an eye.
Nice park with adjacent trailheads. There are multiple ways to enjoy the recreation area.
Nice little neighborhood park. Smallish, but it's right next to the Chumash Indian museum which has a real nice trail. So, if you're desirous of a bit more vigorous walk, you have a choice. Plan on 30-45 min round trip to the point where the trail starts to get more rough. Didn't run into bears or mountain lions, but there were stampedes of squirrels and rabbits when I visited last.
Clean, I love the playground structures (spinning games, buddy swing, big kid and little kid climbing sets. I'm not a fan of the wood chips, but thats kind of everywhere. And the main street is far from the play area, but when parking there it's a bit scary how fast cars drive by.
Amazing updated park! Highly recommend!
