I have been a resident of Lathrup Park for 30 years. This park is what a neighborhood park should be. A Quiet and beautiful place to sit and walk pups and visit neighbors. We have residents here that work very hard to keep it clean. It has open space so that kids can run, fly kites, play soccer and just be kids. It is not meant to attract a huge public crowd. Lathrup Park is dedicated to the Lathrup family, who were involved in the development of the Lathrup Park Subdivision. The subdivision was surveyed, laid out, and platted by the Lathrup family, including Lathrup and his wife, as well as Earl Lathrup and his wife. The park is part of the larger Lathrup Park Subdivision. We have an association that we contribute to to pay for bush trimming and a new Flag every so many years and we have neighborhood parties there. I hope it stays just like this for decades more. For those people who need soccer nets and more benches and ball fields and playgrounds.. there are other parks you can visit.

This park is very well kept and the neighborhood looks like it cares a lot. It could be 5 stars if it had a few more benches and something to do for kids like a swing but other than that its a nice piece of land for walking dogs. Also there seems to be a community book case near the flag pole its full of well kept books as well.
