Great park with a soccer field, softball field, basketball court, a small play ground, pavilions with grilling options and a bit of trails to walk by the stream. There is a spot where you can see the trains go by. It’s a wide space with available parking. My only complaint is that it is not permitted for dogs. Restrooms are closed for the winter season.
This is a nice quiet park with beautiful scenery and a pretty stream running through. There’s a softball field and a soccer field. Most of the softball games are Sundays with adult teams. There is a paved walking path that winds and goes back into a quiet peaceful part of the park. There is a small, but nice playground for the kids. It’s always well taken care of. Many people go there for walks along the path for exercise. And people bring their dogs on a leash to give them some exercise too. I have been going there since my kids were very little & I always loved it. Its not a big park, like some others in Altoona. But it’s peaceful and serene. Good meditation spot or to get together for an afternoon of ball.
Decent very small outside park. Nice if you have kids. Nice place to walk. Can also watch trains through binoculars that are posted within. Bathrooms accessible.
Beautiful during the winter months
Really nice place, super peaceful and great to see a train going by
