For this to be the only park in Ocala, there's little to really complain about. It's the largest in our area from Gainesville to Tampa, the morning dogs are wonderful and the regulars have created such a warm community. However, there could be improvements on maintenance with emptying the trash bins and cleaning/sanitizing the water stations. That being said however, the owners do a great job of upkeeping the park when they can (even going as far as replacing broken toys like the kiddie pool on the property)
I've been coming here for 2+ years with my pup and have had no issues that would bar us from coming back. However, OWNERS BEWARE if you come after 2pm, the dogs tend to be more unruly, aggressive and unsocialized.

This is a fantastic dog park ! Lots of open grass space with water stations along the perimeter. Agility equipment, benches, and a shaded pavilion make this a great spot to spend 45 minutes to an hour letting your pup run with friends, sniff all the sniffs, pee all the pee-sails, and wear themselves out proper.
The biggest section is for Big Dogs, or any dog that can run with big dogs. This is where I brought our 35 lb Aussies. There is a large, separately fenced Small Dog Park on the right, and the entrance is a medium-size middle park that was serving as a training area when we went.
There is a lovely park with paved trails, shade trees and benches connected to the dog parks.

Nice dog park. There is shade, benches and water thru out. They seperate the areas by small and big dogs. They have 3 fences to ensure your dog doesn't escape.
Most people keep an eye on their dog and are quick to recall their dog to avoid escalation. I like that most people come around the same time, my puppy has to pick and choose who won't bulldoze her when playing.
Wish they were open a little longer. They're closed on Wednesday and Thursday for some reason. Would be nice if we got one more day.

Excellent Park, very well maintained. Rover and I run around the perimeter there every day except Wednesday and Thursday when they are closed. Just watch out for the big dogs. A couple are aggressive, and if your dog is mauled, contact the park department immediately and make a report. Rover was mauled last year, and it took a while before the aggressive dog was banned, and the owner paid up.
