Beautiful hikes around the reservoir where you can really choose your own distance. I went with a friend and we did about 2.5 miles as an out and back hike but you can add on more if you choose the upwards trail part way through. Overall great trail which was dog and family friendly.

Came in around 8:30am on a Thursday, plenty of free parking before the trail. The views were great and the overall environment was lovely.

Kimmy and I stopped here on way back from client meeting in santa Cruz. Great stopping point to walk about reservoir. There are restrooms and if you can believe it a pay phone. There is an excellent trail with views across street from parking lot. Steep but levels put. Not sure how long. Take water as moderately difficult trail. Enjoy!!!

It’s a relatively large lake which didn’t had lot of water before 2023 Spring. Due to rain storms and spring monsoon seasons of 2023, the lake filled up pretty good. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy a nice swim in this summer. It’s tucked away from the CA-17 road but it’s easily accessible. I definitely recommend it for a little siesta during weekend specially in the evenings. 😊👍🏻

The place is very beautiful and serene but there is not trail next to it. It is a good stop and nearby areas have some good hikes.
