Arrived midday, was impressed with the shaded walkways, covered playarea, and large open area. The open open area would lend itself to a game of kick ball or a rousing game of touch football. It has a half court basketball area, grills, tables, water fountain, and benches. It has no ramadas or restrooms. It aslo has a communal book swapping library that is well maintained.

Nice large park with lots of options for kids but it's definitely in need of some TLC. Pretty old and it shows. Lots of space and mature trees though.

I would give it 5 stars except the 2 large homeless encampments. Also some of the homeless use the playground as a sleeping area. There is human feces all over the northwest quadrant of the park. Make sure your dogs do not eat it. I have submitted a official report per Tucson City website. Today is Feb 2 2026, lets see how long it takes to get the park safe again.

This park is a hidden gem! Huge playground that is shaded. Inclusive swings. Basketball hoop. Great spot to walk laps, play, or just enjoy a picnic under the trees. Just be aware that the little prairie dogs will want you to share anything you have. They are too cute!

Great little park, family oriented, free books stand as well!
