A really beautiful place. It's also free! Which was even better! I went during the middle of the week, so me a a few others who stopped by practically had the place to myself. I spent several hours here and I know I still didn't take enough time to enjoy all the variety of plants and trees. I didn't expect the place to be so expansive either. Since I didn't have a map, I just kept walking and next thing, I'm in another section of the place. In fact, i hadn't even realized that this and the the Botanical Gardens (also free) were connected.

A nice park to walk, jog or run. Lots of people walking their dogs and lots of birds and other wildlife even in the winter time.

Very big park for Cheyenne. The grass is good in about 87% of the places. Swimming pools, putt putt golf, botanical gardens, and the Daddy of them all fairgrounds is right next door. This is a hopping place in the late parts of every July. It's a beautiful park. Hopefully the city will keep making additions to make it even more accommodating. Lane Frost statue is within site from the west side of the park. That was my favorite part of visiting Lions Park on this particular visit.

Vantastic Community Park! This is a large property with all the bells and whistles including aquatic center with $2 showers, pickleball courts, ball fields, horseshoe pits, volleyball court, mini golf, gardens, lake, hiking and biking trails, picnic tables and grills and more. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming. Parking is paved and large enough for any size rig or RV depending on the location.
