Nice park along the Fox River! There's a community center with restrooms, playground, boardwalk, and access to the Fox River Trail. The Red Oak Nature Center is a short walk south of the park, and you can walk or bike miles in either direction along the trail. There's also really nice views of the river nearby.

Loved the water ways but not much in safety for those with young kids exploring: not near the cave fyi for family’s exploring. It’s a short drive or 20 min hike away. The last path leads to the water with a bench.

Nice, new playground in the nature center, but it wasn’t interesting enough to my kids’ interest long enough to want to stay more than 15 minutes. It seems they recently revamped the playground, so it has a VERY different vibe from the nature-based treehouse it seems to have had before! There was a nice picnic area that was covered and both accessible and regular port-o-potties were on-site and clean (even if the toddlers said, “peeyoo”). The trails are nicely paved and would be so nice to enjoy on the bike! There was even a bike pump near the bike racks and an EV charger in the ample parking lot!

It is a great place to take kids and have a picnic lunch. We climbed the climbing wall, walked the rope bridge explored the nature paths and ponds. We had lunch there and walked over to red oak nature area. We explored a little cave and saw nests of great heron off the Fox River.

One of my favorite little parks close to home. The wetlands boardwalk is a great spot to sit and soak up some nature.
