This is located at the far NORTH part of "Waterfront Park, bordering the SD Bay. It is a Lovely, large, well manicured, well maintained doggy park. Does NOT have separate areas for small and large dogs. Only has ONE entrance/exit. Beautiful views of the bay (but u should be watching YOUR pup, not the bay, lol). Parking is OFTEN problematic due to the proximity to the bay/Little Italy, major points of tourist interest. To avoid parking issues, do go on off peak times, (not holidays, traditional vacation days etc.) (Hot Local TIP: You can ALSO park at large lot on Old Town, arrive by TROLLEY at the Little Italy/County Admin stop and easily walk the one block to avoid the parking challenge) There ARE clean, well maintained bathroom facilities and water fountains nearby. Numerous fast food AND Upscale restaurants And Coffee houses nearby (We do recommend the coffee bar IMMEDIATELY inside the front door of the County building: "MADELINES" JUST opened, serves amazing upscale handcrafted brew and scines/fresh baked goods)

We started going to the Little Italy Dog Park about 5 months ago and now it's the only park we frequent. It's a smaller dog Park but the folks that are regulars here are very nice and are, for the most part, responsible and clean up after their fur buddies. Almost every dog that is brought here is mild mannered and well behaved. As a matter of fact I've only witnessed any kind of dog aggression once or twice in the entire time that I've been coming here. Kodi, our Shiba Inu loves it and has made quite a few friends here, canine and otherwise 😉 The only drawback about this dog park is the parking. Somedays it's kind of difficult, but Not impossible, to find a parking spot. Wednesdays and Saturdays are especially tricky since they have a Farmer's Market on those two days Overall we've had a very positive experience at this smaller but very nice dog park.

The go-to spot for me and my pups - Mostly turf, which means less mud and fewer post-park baths, plus a steady mix of friendly dogs and (mostly) friendly humans. Always a good vibe, and easily my favorite park in the area.

This is my favorite dog park in all of downtown! Mostly because its in a good location but its also just a nice park. It does tend to get very crowded during certain parts of the day, especially on weekends.

Very nice park, has plenty of rooms for smalls to medium size dogs. If your dogs is a runner i would recommend another dog park with more running space. Also, the dog urine stench was very strong. They definitely need to do maintenance and some clorox to give the areas where you sit a washing. Totally understand it's a dog park and dogs are going to pee, but it needs a little TLC.
