Beautiful and accessible park to the waterfront. Easy parking at the top with nice wide trails snaking along the hillsides down to the water and a wonderful long pier you walk out on over the water. Excellent views of the bay and Bellingham. Great place for a peaceful stroll or to bring your dog and place in the waters edge. Be aware that toilet facilities are limited to the parking area only (a port-a-potty that the city clearly does not clean often enough; it was nearly overflowing when we were there!), so you may need to find a bush if you're down walking inside the park.

My absolute favorite place to take my pup. I've been here at least 5 days a week since my dog was 4 months old, and it is almost impossible to beat! Multiple parking areas, large field for fetch/play, 10 or so minute walk to the beach, and a huge beach area for access to the bay, all of which are considered an off leash area. The vast majority of the time, people are very considerate and mindful of their dogs and out of the 100+ times I've been here, I can't say I've truly had a bad experience with people or dogs. I tend to go at a similar time every day after work, and it's fun seeing and chatting with familiar people while our dogs play. On nice days, I've lost count at 30+ dogs tearing around the big field, and it's a pretty damn good time! If you have a dog that loves to retrieve in water, it's pretty hard to beat this spot. My boy learned to swim at this beach and nowhere gets him as excited as when I get even within a mile of the parking lot. Best dog park in Bellingham.

Still very nice even in winter with great views of the bay. The old industrial pier is being renovated for eventual public use but the park itself has lots of rocky beach front with lots of cool rocks. The path down from the parking lot can get pretty muddy during the winter though so wear appropriate shoes. The park also allows off leash dogs.

Really lovely dog park! Ocean beach with pier on one end and woods with open grassy fields on the other. There's a honey bucket by the parking lot. Lots of loose dogs. All were friendly (except for one). I was pretty impressed that I didn't come across a single pile of dog poop!

Beautiful park, but beware if you have any disability; there are no benches for resting, though there is. A longer main path that is of a gentler slope, but both paths are gravel. If you follow them all the way down you will co e to a lot g pier extending into the water with views.
