Absolutely nice park for everyone. One side is more like an open dog park and the other side has the part where the playground is; everyone can play without worrying about dogs. Deeper in the park is a basketball court for anyone to play. I haven’t seen anything bad happen yet but I’ve only been visiting for about a year. It seems everyone I have encountered has all been friendly. The park is usually empty by dark, around 7 in the winter and 8 in the summer.

The few times I’ve been here, it’s always been a good group of people and dogs. The people seemed pretty relaxed and most of the dogs are well mannered. There always seems to be water and poop bags and even a nice Lost and Found hanging from the tree and there are bathrooms.

Great place to take your pup and get some sun and nature, as it is surrounded by Stephenson’s Nature preserve. Other dog owners are attentive , responsive and responsible. There is a bathroom that’s pretty well maintained and there is a water fountain and water bowls for your furry friend. It’s a great neighborhood park. Stella gives it 4 paws. 🐾🐾😁👍🏿

Firstly, I absolutely adore this park. However, I'm using this space to notify folks to be very wary. As of this writing, this park and neighboring preserve, are visited daily in the morning by a family of 3 very dangerous dogs. Over the last year I have personally witnessed the German Shepherd of the group snap at two children and countless dogs, including my own. The owner of these dogs has taken to hiking them off trail (possibly because they are violent) and emerged unexpected upon my family while we were hiking last month. The German lunged at my 4 year old unprovoked, and when my terrier mix put herself in the middle to protect him, it landed her in the ER over night with life threatening injuries. These are always off leash dogs: Two white dogs and a German Shepherd. Since our incident I know of three more of who have sustained an attack from the German, and just today the German attacked another friend's dog, drawing blood. I know at least a dozen former regulars to this park that will not attend anymore because of this group of dogs. I have reported this to AAC as have others. Unfortunately the laws do very little until a human is hurt. I am leaving this post, because I want to know I did everything I could to notify families with little ones and dogs. The German is the most aggressive, but the large white dog has been known to attack as well. AAC has shared if you or someone you know witnesses violence from these (or any) dogs, that you should report to them via 311. It is especially important if it is your child. This was one of my favorite parks in Austin. I have been hiking here for years, bringing up my pups and son around many of the loving regulars and their animals. However, I do not recommend anyone with dogs or children attend this park at this time. Especially in the morning hours on the wooded trails. If you see these dogs, please avoid them. The German is not a dog that gives regular cues. It goes into violence completely at random, and I am still baffled why this family insists on hiking it and the other dogs off leash.

Came for the playground. One swing is missing. There is only one other regular swing (no toddler swings). The flooring and mulch look like they need replaced but it’s relatively clean and quiet with a large green space for pets and walks.
