Dog friendly. Rude people. Traveling from Texas to California with 3 pups. I'm unsure if they have a specific dog walk area. We parked and found a nice grassy area to use real quick. Bring your own bags for dog waste. We didn't see anything but to be fair, we didn't research and were in a hurry. Great for a quick stop for dog parents. Just be cautious in the town itself; the people were sadly the rudest we've ever encountered in all our travels across the U.S. If you need fuel, I recommend getting some before or after.

Unfortunately, Los Altos Park has been redesigned to discourage the unhoused so successfully, it's no longer appealing to people either. The skate park area and the new 15 mph road (that Google doesn't recognize) are inviting, but the dog park is now the least accessible dog park in Albuquerque. The small dog area has gaps that allow small dogs access to the freeway and the large dog area both, and there's zero handicap accessible parking. Also zero shade, and while there is water, it will all drain away before the dog gets over being sprayed full force trying to drink. No way to fill bowls, and the gates require manual open and close, and are not handicap accessible by any stretch of the imagination. I've been multiple times at different times of the day, and the I-40 noise has zero buffer making it unwelcoming and impossible to have a conversation. Definitely not conducive to building relationships. The baseball fields look beautiful, hopefully they will get plenty of use.

It's great to have dog parks, and my Mattie took off like a bullet. Be careful, though. The ground is bare with lots of pebbles. She bruised a foot, poor critter, so I'll back off on hurling a tennis ball so far away.

We went out with our food truck for a seniors division softball tournament since the park was re-model damn it looks great and inviting for these softball tournament great job City of Albuquerque. They allow better room for #foodtrucks and shade, access to bathroom that are clean.

Easy to drive to, but gad to park at a distance. Um elderly and severely l yarthritic. Then had to walk thru wood chips which was fine for my dog but not for me.. I brought water but left it in car, accidentally. Maybe there will be some shade when trees mature.. we sat on a bench and saw many vehicles speed by on the freeway. No large or small dogs nor any other creature seen. When I gained the courge ri trek ba k to the car, we made our way
