The President of this organization berated and yelled at my wife and daughter as they tried to visit. We are from out of town and visiting despite mixed messaging. The parks are lovely, the leadership who runs it should consider a more tactful approach when addressing people visiting. Coming from Colorado where dog parks are family friendly the mentality of keeping dog parks prohibitive to children seems counterproductive, and perhaps an option to pay more to cover the insurance costs. Would not recommend for fear of unknowingly running afoul of this individual. Though again, rules seem selectively enforced as many people have been seen bringing more than the three dog limit as stated on the sign. While my wife acknowledges that knowing our daughter could not be up in a backpack carrier was something of note to point out, the aggressive and belligerent nature that belittled her was unprofessional at best and unwelcoming. Tread lightly and carefully if you elect to sign up and remember no kids or you may get barked at by more than the dogs.
I have been going to the LOUISVILLE Dog Run Association dog parks for a little ice 3 years now. My dog loves it and loves to go to Champions and to Cochran. Tom Sawyer is nice for walking. Really fun and have gotten to know a lot of people here too.
What a great place to take your dog to run. We generally visit Champions Dog Run off River road. There are 7 parks to choose from throughout the city and what a great deal for $35.00. Sawyer park is great as well with over 5 acres to play and walk.
Excellent dog parks spread throughout Louisville. Tom Sawyer is my dogs favorite because the walking trail through the wooded area. Great to have options and the ability to try out new parks during the summer.
Terribly run organization. Not only are there not any off-leash dog parks in the area which are open to anyone, but also there are only a limited number of memberships given out to these members-only dog parks. How hard would it be to make more key fobs if they sell out? It's frustrating for someone who just moved here with a really active dog, but now has to wait 3-6 months for his dog to be able to run and socialize again (moved from a city that had free off-leash dog parks all around).
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
