The Malcolm Gross Rose Garden in Allentown is one of our favorite spots for senior portraits in the Lehigh Valley. There are so many options for your senior portrait session all within a few minutes walk. The main gardens feature a variety of different colored rose beds and trellises. When they’re all in bloom, you have everything from yellow to red roses to choose from for your backdrop. Just a little farther down the walkway are a bunch of beds that change the types of flowers throughout the spring and summer. Near the roses and other gardens there are a couple of small ponds (you can’t go in them) that make a nice water feature to add into your session. If you walk down the Cedar Creek Path away from the Rose Gardens, you’ll find some beautiful weeping willow trees, bridges, and some nice open fields which are fantastic around golden hour. This is probably one of the best locations in the Lehigh Valley for an outdoor senior portrait session. If you want a variety of stunning natural backdrops for your photos, this is the spot.

Mid-August is not the best time to view the Roses but the flower garden was blooming nicely. Paved walking trails mostly in the Sun surrounded by well maintained grounds.

Went for the 1st time a few weeks ago. Its a beautiful place to go for piece of mind. All the flowers were not out or were but now not in season but in May it will be a beautiful place for wedding or any event pictures. The place is huge, its has small ponds and other sections we didn't get to cover but its a pretty garden/ park. Lots of seating areas, you can jog another section there is a play area for children etc. Beautiful, quiet, clean place.

This park is my favorite park to walk through. Not only does it have amazing scenery, but the atmosphere and its location are also amazing. The flowers are starting to bloom, and the garden is becoming more and more alive. Beautiful place for pictures for any type of event.

Beautiful scenic area. Not many roses in bloom when I went but it was still beautiful to walk through. There were other flowers also. Little bridge and flowing water nearby. It was nice 😊
