Great any time. New kid playground and nice picklball field. A short passage to the neighborhood is full of Christmas installation and even mint sticks! Thanks neighbors! It's amazing!
I used to love taking my 3yr old here. There was recent construction of the playground equipment, and now my 3yr old can't get to the slides. The entire playground set up is rope climbing. There's a couple things for younger kids but the main playground is for bigger kids and smaller kids I think will get hurt. Im truly devastated that the old castle playground is gone. I really truly loved this park. It was like a sanctuary to me and my little one loved it too. Now I have to find another park because this one is out right ruined now. My child can't play here anymore as they'll most likely get hurt until they're bigger. What was once a beautiful park is now complete garbage.
Lovely place with trails to hike through
Nice neighborhood free park, street parking, lots of trails , well maintained
By far the best park in the East Renton Highlands. The wooded area is filled with hiking trails that go every which way and many are wide enough to ride your bike through, which I do almost daily. The park itself has a basketball court, workout equipment and a play area for the kiddos. There are six picnic tables and benches as well for a nice picnic or get together. The only real downside is that it has no restrooms on site. If they built some I would give Maplewood Park a mathematically impossible six out of five stars.
