Who ever designed this park. You have to walk around to the back side to get to the small side. So the big dog side has seating and shade available. The small dog side has no shade and no seating... then there's even another smaller area inside that. Water available. Poo bags available but no trash, so the bags are just on the ground. The park is maintained. Just has a very weird layout and no seating or shade in the small side. Once the big dogs left we could come over and enjoy the shade

Mascoutah Dog Park is such a gem for pups and their humans! This park is clean, spacious, and well-maintained with wide open grassy areas that are perfect for zoomies and sniffing adventures. I especially love the double-gated entry—it helps ease transitions for dogs who need a little extra time to warm up. There’s a separate area for small and large dogs, and the regulars are friendly—both two-legged and four-legged! 🐾 Plenty of shade and benches too, which is a major plus. Esme had a blast exploring every inch and meeting new furry friends. It’s such a joy to see dogs running free in a safe, thoughtfully designed space. If you’re in the area and looking for a great place to let your pup play, this one’s absolutely worth checking out. 📍Mascoutah Dog Park (Located within Scheve Park) 🐶 Bring water, bags, and good vibes! 💬 Follow me for more dog-friendly recs and local favorites! 📍 Google Maps | IG/FB: @asaintives

My puppers always have a blast here! There are a few water options, and very big open spaces for them to run. I would suggest bringing your own dog waste bags as at times there isn’t any available.

Love this little dog park. I bring my two dogs here often to run around and get some energy out. There is a big open space for the dogs to play and run. There is a water spigot so you can give your dogs water. There are bowls there you can use or bring your own for sanitary reasons. The only problem is that many pet owners do not clean up after their dogs even though there are bags and trash cans provided in the park.

This dog park is a nice size and it has been carefully thought out by the city of Mascoutah! There are 3 gated areas, but the locals only use the largest area for the all the dogs. One lot is a great size for training and the other would be great for dogs under 30lbs. There is running water with a water fountain for humans and dogs. They also have a metal hose to fill pools and clean off your puppy. The city is working on building a restroom. I am hoping they expand the parking lot in the future, it currently fits 10 to 15 vehicles. Pupperton and Hazel McWooferson had a great time visiting family and making new friends.
