Matheson Park is on Morris between Menaul and Candelaria on the right side when going north. It is a beautiful park with adult trees of different kinds throughout. It is well maintained, the grass is lush and beautiful during the summer. As many times as I've been, I have not found any thistles, goat heads or other sticker type weeds. There is a cabana with picnic tables and a playground for the children; a sidewalk goes around almost all of the outer skirts of the park. It would be nice if there were picnic tables scattered throughout the park, unfortunately there aren't any. There are a few benches around the outskirts facing the street. It would be nice if there were a few benches that faced into the park so you could sit and watch children play or dogs run. When you sit at the park under a tree in the shade, it's quiet, very peaceful. You can hear the birds singing and children laughing off in the distance. A wonderful place to sit in nature and distress.

Nice park. Clean. Good atmosphere. Great place to play, walk the dog, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors a bit.
