Really like this park. It was my puppys first dog park visit since I adopted her at 8 weks old. Plenty of room for my Chloi to run and play. Very clean and had a water fountain for both humans and dogs. Would highly recommend.

This is one of the nicest doggie park in the dntn area. There are two seperatelarge enclosures, one for small and the other for larger breeds. There are two entrances as well to the doggie runs, one on the north side of the park, by the large cooling fountain, and the other centrally located to the west, just past the "lou' a large silver state of the art bathroom, with flushing toilets lights hand washing and adjacent doggie and water fountains. There are plenty of doggie Doo bags supplied as well trash containers in which to through them. Maverick park covers the entire block. 3 acres, half doggie, the other half peaceful shady areas in which one can sit back and relax. There aren't many tables, one in each run, and and 2-4 in the nice roomy pavilion, on the sw corner. Most just throw a blanket down like a picnic. Because of its unique location, between N Alamo and Broadway, it reflects the diversity of people nearby, the more affluent Alamo heights the homeless, and all those in between. Everyone generally gets along and are well mannered. Park police regularly canvass the area. Not great for kids. No "toys". No bbq pits either. But the dogs love it!

Beautiful dog park. The dog park is thoughtfully designed, featuring separate areas for small and large dogs. It includes two poop bag stations, numerous trash cans, and seating inside both sides plus there is a water fountain for dogs. The large dog side is covered in mulch, dirt, and leaves, while the small dog area is lush with grass. Although there's a bathroom outside the dog fence, but it does requires cleaning.

Loved this park for a very public spot was great everyone seemed to be ok with taking turns to let their babies in. Only suggestion is to add ONE more light to that super dark spot for night visitors

Beautiful park! The "all dogs" area is a great size.
There have been instances when my dog has been snapped at, which is a cue for us to leave.
However, I still frequent the park bc my dog loves it!
Pay attention to the gates bc not everyone closes them properly and one time the gate that connects the small and big park opened from the wind.
Luckily all dogs involved were friendly, even the little ones lol, but just something to keep an eye on.
