McNeely Park is a peaceful and beautiful spot with lots to do for everyone. There’s a nice fishing area, a small playground with a slide, swings, and a few other things for kids and toddlers. You’ll also find a golf area and a boat ramp for those who enjoy a bit more outdoor fun. There’s a friendly community cat colony nearby — lots of roaming cats, so keep an eye on little ones. Picnic tables, grills, and a gazebo are available for family cookouts or gatherings. Just note — there’s no bathroom on site. Overall, it’s a relaxing and family-friendly place to enjoy nature, fish, golf, or just unwind by the water.

If you are looking for a place to go sledding I'm not sure you can beat this. Its a lot safer when the lake is froze, but there are other areas to sled on where the lake is not reachable. I've never been here during the warmer months, but may try to visit this year.

I recently visited McNeely Lake and was taken aback by its natural beauty. The calm water, surrounded by lush greenery and the serene presence of ducks gliding across the lake, created an incredibly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re strolling along the edge or fishing, it’s a perfect spot to unwind. However, one thing that did dampen the experience was the litter scattered around — particularly soda caps and other small trash items. It was disheartening to see such a lovely place not being respected. I tried picking up what I could, but there’s clearly a need for better upkeep or community awareness. Despite that, the lake’s charm is undeniable. With just a little more care, Lake McNeil could be an ideal escape into nature.

Interesting place. It doesn't appear there are restrooms here. We did not encounter the alleged cat herd that roams the area. The lake was ok, but there was a fair amount of trash on the banks. They have a playground and walking trail. You can get a small electric motor boat out on the lake. They have a ramp and docks. There was tons of bird wildlife, which was nice to see.
