I have 4 small dogs and we live close to Midway. During the summer months, to avoid the extreme heat, we leave early in the morning to begin our walks. We generally arrive at Midway at around 5:00am. It is still dark outside. One thing that makes walking this early is the lack of lighting. Even though I bring a flashlight with me, during our walks we have encountered several situations, which becomes a little frightening with the limited lighting. Our most recent episode was coming within 100 ft. of a coyote that was feeding on a small animal. Fortunately my dogs were on high alert and we were able to quickly return to the car where I was able to video the coyote who seemed unconcerned by my bright lights beaming down on him during his feeding. This is not the first time we have come across a coyote, but it is the first time witnessing one while they were feeding. My request, for what it is worth, is to install additional lighting around the walking trail to make it safer for those that use it when it is dark outside.

This is a nice park with four pickleball courts, water park, playground, walking paths and a volleyball court. Great for taking your pup on a walk too.

This park is lovely! The trees are plentiful, walking trails are well-shaded, and there’s a swing set (for mom)! The only downside is that when it rains, the wooden ground around the equipment is a magnet for deep puddles. Naturally, the kids play in the water, and we all know who gets to clean that up! 😂 Definitely check it out when it’s dry!
