It's a beautiful place to visit for hiking or a casual stroll. You can bring dogs with leaches. The winding roads are gorgeous and and allow for a gorgeous view of the rock formations on the mountains, streams, trees and their beautiful leaves

The canyon is awesome! I visited in late December after work, and it was very quiet and relaxing. My dog loves it, too. They have on-leash days (even days) and off-leash days (odd days). While there were plenty of skiers in the canyon, they weren't a disturbance. My only complaint was the woman at the booth. I asked for an annual pass, but she said she had already turned off the system and had to charge me $5 for the day. Her customer service definitely dampened the mood of an otherwise pleasant trip. She could use some training on how to treat visitors more kindly.

It's a beautiful drive up winding roads with views of the trees leaves, streams, mountains and their rock formations. Leashed dogs are around and there's a big variety of trails as you drive through the canyon

Millcreek Canyon is one our our go-to hiking areas near SLC. There are trails of varying difficulty - most of which can be found on the All Trails app. Shortly after entering the canyon and passing the toll booth, you will likely lose cell service so plan accordingly. There are some campground restrooms throughout the canyon. Dogs are allowed in the canyon. Odd numbered days are off leash days and even numbered days dogs must be on leash. Bikers are not allowed in the canyon on odd numbered days although you might still see them.
