Mission Historical Park is such a peaceful, beautiful and underrated spot in Santa Barbara. It's surrounded by history being right across from the Old Mission, with open lawns, old stone aqueducts, and pieces of early California history scattered throughout. The park is quiet and well-kept — perfect for picnics, walks, or just relaxing under the trees after exploring the Mission and Rose Garden. You can feel the history here, yet it still feels like a true neighborhood park. Free parking, easy access, and gorgeous scenery make it a must-visit for anyone exploring the Mission area.
It’s very beautiful park. Really enjoyed this park. It’s must go place. There are multiple sections of rose with different colors. You can easily spent 1 hr at this place. And going to enjoy different roses. Would suggest to visit at evening time to enjoy different sheds of flowers.
Fantastic park across from the beautiful Santa Barbara Mission. Great place to picnic, stroll amongst the rose garden paths, or just lay on the grass with you dog.
Beautiful grounds and rose gardens around the Old mission Church. It's a must for sight seeing in Santa Barbara. The volunteers that take care of the roses will have a special place in heaven. Wow how beautiful. 😊
Side street parking across from the Mission admiring the majestic colorful roses. Art gathering down to the right and on the left side a few young ladies preparing a celebration 🍾 of sorts with an elegant long ground table surrounded with peach pillows for the guests.
