Took the Winchell trail and found a side trail to hike down to the shore (there are trails down at the shore too). So beautiful and the pups had a blast as well. Wear hiking shoes .. it's slippery on the side trails.

Loved the trails and the accessibility for the more active individual! Definitely will come back here to run or bike. The scenery wasn't near the water as much, but I bet there other parts that would be more accessible.

Take one of the paths down towards the Ole Miss and be drawn into the quiet serenity of the Gorge. Then right down on a sandy beach, enjoy the views, especially with poofy clouds and a still river. Beautiful.

This place is beautiful any time of season! There are many trails to walk on that are dog friendly. It’s connected to Minnehaha Dog Park and Minnehaha Falls. The river was a bit hard for us to access for our dog to drink the water cuz the water level was so high. When we’ve been here in the summer, the water was the perfect height as our dog could wade in the river and drink water from. This is also where my husband proposed to me. It was the perfect day and he had prepared a lovely picnic for us.

Very worth visiting! This park is part of a very walkable string of parks along the Mississippi and is a great opportunity to get out in nature! I would recommend hiking, walking your dog, picnicking, or possibly trail running if you feel that excited. Or it’s a beautiful spot to just take a moment to yourself! :)
