Mount Loretto Unique Area is an absolute treasure on Staten Island's south shore. Visited on a quiet weekday and walked right in with no wait — perfect for a peaceful nature escape. The diverse landscape of meadows, woodlands, and stunning waterfront views along the Staten Island shoreline is breathtaking. Great trails for walking and birdwatching and the open fields feel refreshingly wild and unspoiled. A must-visit for any nature lover!

Nice walking trail with some elevation. Nice breeze from the water. Alot of wildlife (rabbits, ground hogs, deer, Cardinals, blue jays, turtles, etc.)

Calm and quiet place very good for morning evening walks as well as for picnics. Special huts and benches made for picnics. Plenty of birds you can find here. It's really worth simply sitting there and listening to different birds chirping. You have access to beach, as well, though not fit for swim. All in good good place to visit if you are in neighborhood or passing by there.

Pleasant park mix of grassland and water views. Nice paved paths & several Porta potties. Busy as people come at end of workday. You can't get close to the lighthouse, as it's a residence now.

One of the best parks on the island. Great for waking, running, biking, bird watching and even a picnic. There are even decent hiking trails that are short but pleasent. The views are great and it's very very well maintained. The only issue is that the parking lot is small and it gets busy on nice days. There are plenty of paved roads for biking and well maintained trails cutting through.
