Its a little bit of a walk to get down to the water if you go thru the Fenced In Dig Park Area and depending on where you park. But I also have 2 Frenchies. The only other thing I wasn't crazy about is at the end of the long fenced in dog park field it doesn't have a gate or fence that keeps the dogs from the water till your ready if theg run ahead of you. But everyone was very nice and aware of there dogs and its great they have a field and then they can go swim in the bay if they want. I appreciated everyone being aware of their dogs although it was a large area. And your dog can be off leash once inside. So it was all around good vibe, nice environment. And They have chairs to sit on by the water if needed. Very relaxing. Definitely will be going back for sure with people or without.

Great spot for dogs on the beach. I gets pretty busy in the summer time. Half of the area is fenced off the other side is ocean or wetlands. Dogs can be off leash - bring poo bags though!

We visited Mud Creek Dog Park in Patchogue with our three dogs—our own and my parents' two dogs—along with my mom and fiancée. We arrived around 9:30 am, and while there weren't many people there initially, the park filled up by the time we left at 11:30 am. It was a great time for all the dogs. The park has a fenced-off area where you can let your dogs off the leash to swim and play together. Our dogs had an amazing time interacting with other dogs and enjoying the water. However, there are a few things to be aware of. The sand is quite rocky, and there's a lot of seaweed in the water, though it lessens if you go further in. Additionally, we encountered a lot of horse flies, which were quite a nuisance. Overall, despite these minor issues, it was a fun outing for our dogs.
