Beautiful and huge park with two fenced sections, one for big dogs and one for little dogs. Picnic tables and seating with shade cloth. Two water fountains for people and one for dogs on each side. Double gate system to keep dogs from accidentally getting loose. Trash cans and dog waste bags are provided. Right along the Mississippi and the bridge separating Tennessee and Arkansas. Lots of room for your furry friend to run and play.

We were transporting a dozen rescue dogs from Texas to the North East and struck out at two Love’s in a row that did not have a doggie park. With it being time for the doggies to get a stretch and bathroom break in, we googled local dog parks and Mud Island was the closest in Memphis. We were pleasantly surprised by this park. It’s right on the river. Since we arrived shortly before closing it was dark and the bridge lights were so awesome. The park was nice and clean with two sections for under and over 25 lbs. High recommend for your own pups.

Love this park! One of the largest of the local parks. The people seem relaxed and chill compared to some of the other parks nearby (Overton and Tobey)! Only complaint is that there is little shade, other than the one covered picnic table. More trees, please.

I didn’t take a dog inside. Just met up with a transporter. Seems nicer than most in the city.

February 3, 2025 Stopped for Bronco Stopped here in 2020 on my Move to Colorado, stopped again on my drive to Florida February 3, 2025 we hit some traffic in Tennessee, but it was a great excuse to stop at Mud Island Dog Park and give Bronco some exercise! I have a special connection to this place, having visited with Mikey and Blu in February 2020 when I relocated to Colorado. Returning here stirred up some feelings, but I'm happy to have revisited the memory. We also swung by the Tennessee Welcome Center in Memphis! February 21, 2020 2nd dog walk of the trip!
