Went there to use the Archery range. Grounds were in great shape. Clean. Lots of open camp sites. Bow range is excellent.

Camping here is great. The sites are large, clean and well kept. Privacy is good. There don't seem to be any raccoons, and mosquitos aren't bad. Park rangers are very polite and helpful. Fire rings are in very good condition and have excellent cooking grates on them. Fishing is good for small children. The big pond is very weedy, but teeming with bluegills that are too small to keep. It's hard to not catch them. The hiking trails are nice, but none are very long. They are fairly scenic, this part of the Kettle Moraine is very nice.

We camped over the weekend and had a good time. Cons: SO many ticks. Also the pit toilets all around the campground are horrifying. Dirty, smell disgusting. You can’t use them without gagging. Anytime we went to the bathroom we drove to the nice bathrooms near the beach. Hiking trails are more like walks in the grass. There aren’t actual trails. Pros: Nice fire pit, large grassy sites (not dirt or rocks), relatively quiet over Memorial Day weekend. Nice beach.

A lovely place to just walk around or have a picnic. Quiet and peaceful. Only downside is it costs $5 for a parking permit to enter, and they take that very seriously. We didn't realize this, and got ticketed.

This is a really nice park with great picnic areas. We were celebrating a birthday party on a Saturday in July at Picnic area 4. Each area has a covered concrete pavilion which provides excellent shade. There was a vault toilet nearby as well as a sand volleyball court. The beach was closed, perhaps due to the large number of geese messing the grounds. There is a $7 daily pass required for all vehicles that can be paid online.
