This is an excellent park for a stroll, lunch, a BBQ, and a quick stint into nature. If you are in the area well worth the visit. Particularly if you are on a work break. Lots of nice benches throughout and I don't think I have seen a park with more gazebos and grills per capita anywhere. Would be an excellent place for a gathering. Even if you don't get your ideal spot one should be available.

It's a quick walk around the park, but you can also do laps around it. There is plenty of wildlife to see out here. Storms that came through made the trail extremely muddy in certain areas. Power lines are low in some areas and on the ground in one spot. One big and big parking lot by the fields and a small parking lot on the other side of the park.

Updated Review: There is currently massive construction going on—they drained the whole lake, and part of the park trail is closed. The only restroom I found was at the baseball field, but it was very dirty and didn’t even have hand soap. Previously Parking is free. I didn’t see any other restrooms, though there might be one across the park by the baseball field. The trail was listed as 30 minutes on the map, but it actually took me about 40 minutes. There are plenty of benches throughout the park. Despite the construction, I’d definitely visit again!

When I think of peace on earth Murphey Candler Park, comes to mind. It is a wonderful park with a lake in the city of Brookhaven, not far from Perimeter Mall. You feel the Lord's presence all around from seeing the geese, turtles, heron and hearing frogs croaking. There are picnic tables to bring family and enjoy each other's company. It's a nice place to fish, ride bikes, play baseball, walk on the trails or simply enjoy the serenity of sitting by the lake. If you need a break from bumper to bumper traffic come to Murphey Candler Park, where there's plenty of free parking and restrooms open to the public.

Beautiful park that’s perfect for anyone, whether it’s a nice walk with friends, a family cookout, a fun time in the playground for children, or just doing a photoshoot. Lots of wildlife too, makes each visit exciting
