"Nature Park" is a funny name as it is actually a flood control basin that people are not allowed in. It is a big hole dug in the ground for storm water to run to with pumps that can then pump it out to nearby Carbon creek. The hole has had mostly nursery type trees planted around its edge and then the whole thing is fenced off to keep people safe.... Now who ever thought to name it "Nature Park" one must wonder if they did so as some sort of joke.... Its in no way natural nor a park in any sense of either of those words...

Creepy and Unsettling atmosphere. Especially in the middle section of Nature Park. I don’t care if it’s manmade its creepy. I don’t recommend going alone…

This place is never open. Have lived in Cypress all my life and have never been. Seems like a waste of space.

Serves a great purpose year round and is a beautiful to stroll when it is open during the summer.
