Davis Trail at Nay Aug Park is great when you might be pressed for time but still want to get in a quick hike. While it is considered an easy trail, there are some slopes and rocks, especially near the gorge and waterfall. Be careful in this area on rainy days, as the rocks leading to the gorge overlook can get slippery. Grip is fine on dry days. Swimming is illegal in the gorge due to safety. I enjoy hiking here after work in the summer. There's enough daylight at that time to complete the hike and burn some calories. There is also plenty of gorgeous scenery to stop and take pictures and benches along the way, if you need to take a break.

Nay Aug Park is one of the most unique city parks you can find anywhere! The park has a large gorge and waterfall that are easy to access off of the park's walking trails. On top of that there is a mine that you can go on that is open seasonally. The walking trails are easy to access and there are maps posted throughout the park and they are easy to find online. The Dave Wenzel Tree House offers nice views of the gorge as does the Paul Kanjorski Covered Bridge. The park has also offers a drive through holiday lights display. Interestingly, there is a monument to Abraham Lincoln in the park, but the actual statue of Lincoln disappeared decades ago. Definitely an interesting mystery there. Hopefully it is found someday. The Everhart Museum is also located in the park. The museum is a gem and presents natural history, local history, and works of art. The museum building is located near the front of the park. The park has a large parking lot that is easy to access. As large as the lot is it can fill up especially on holiday weekends. The park is located just off I-81. Plan accordingly if you're going to the park. The park is free and offers a lot to see and do. If you're in Scranton this is a great place to visit!

I’ve lived in Scranton for around 1 year, but this is my first time visiting this park. This public park is very spacious, with a beautiful waterfall, and it’s a perfect place to visit during the fall foliage season. I brought my cat for a walk — there are so many squirrels here, and my cat was so happy watching them run around.

Small but very nice. A lot of people swimming in the summertime peacefully, but dangerous cliff jumping. Cops were in the parking lot when we left, probably for the large groups of young people cliff jumping into the deep water by the waterfall

Love visiting here when back in Scranton. Hikes can be difficult with how steep things are and a lot of uneven ground, wet leaves etc. There are some paved paths but still pretty steep if physically compromised or not in fair health. We had some older people in our group and were able to navigate the terrain, though moderately challenging, with some caution. The scenic views are worth the trek.
