Ran the 9-mile loop called "Parks Road, Rosecrans, Castlewood, and Juanita Cooke Loop" on allTrails on a rainy Friday morning in December. The trails weren't too muddy, and the route was easy to follow. Spent a bit less than a mile on the Nora Kuttner trail. Very nice and wide trail, easy to run even in the rain. Came on to it from Castlewood to the west, and departed on to Bud Turner trail running alongside Euclid and taking me back to Laguna Lake parking. Good views from this trail. Climbed a bit at first from the trailhead, but then went down a lot till Euclid.

It was great. Hillsy! Great view at the top. A little short, but fun.

There are two entrances, by parks rd and Castlewood, with a few spots on the side of the road and close to castle trail. By Euclid, you can park by laguna Lake Park. The overall length is around 1.5 to 2.5 miles, depending on the route. The area is great for quick hikes for dogs for horses and runners and joggers. Steep inclines. Soon to come is the opening of the other side, where it's being master planned. That should add around 3 miles extra of trails. There are great little dirt ramps for bikes. Overall, it's a small park ready for a grandeur future. For now, it's a small park for niche exercise or quick hikes on steep inclines. Need a larger park... castle wood and laguna park..all next door.

One of our favorite trails to hike. I must say, this inclines are great for begginers. I enjoy this trail,as the bikers have their own path.

Me and my family are avid hikers and we love a good trail. But this park does not offer good trails or views. AS WELL AS NO WHERE TO PARK. We were lucky to park on a culdesack and walk across the convent path to the trail. You get a good view of people's backyard but not much else. Most of the trail is gravel or dirt and I truly hate how short it is, then you end up walking on the sidewalk and you have to cross a busy intersection before you reach the other side of the trail which is very dangerous as the cross walk pedestrian lights do not work and you literally just have to run across. There were at least a decent amount of bushes and some trees not just desert. Coming from Texas, southern California trails fall short of fantastic. I will keep searching for other trails until I find one my family enjoys.
