Right off the highway, Fully fenced in area, shaded and quiet. Perfect for those of us traveling through. My dogs loved being able to sniff around off-leash.
I have three small Schnauzers and they love to visit this at least two acre fenced, double gated dog park next to the Yakima Arboretum. Dogs can roam at will. Several picnic tables available plus a small roof-only shelter to escape bad weather.
This is a small off-leash area near the Yakima Humane Society and Sherman Park. It's fully fenced and has a covered area with a table for owners to sit at. Park near the Humane Society and take a short walk up the Yakima Greenway. Leashed pets may also enjoy walking along the Greenway itself but beware of bicycle traffic. Overall this park is a nice place to stop and let the dog out for a bit during a long drive, and it doesn't seem to be heavily populated.
Good lil area for someone that has multiple dogs and just wants to let them loose to run around. I think it should be a rule that the dog park can only be used for 15 mins by each person with a dog.. because you risk lil dogs losing out on the experience because theres big dogs in the park and you dont really know rather those dogs together will get along. "Just my opinion"
Dog park is great, but beware - multiple homeless/sketchy people around. Doesn't feel particularly safe.
