I've been here for company picnics, and there's decent seating, and plenty of open areas to set up games or whatever. There's a covered area to use for food, which is nice. Recently, I had found out there was an off-leash dog park, though. Thw dog park is unfenced, but mostly lined with trees, which is nice. There's a trail going from one side of the park to the other, and that was muddy, but there had been some saw dust laid down to kind of soak up the mud, which eas nice, but the saw dust has kind gotten overtaken by the mud. The dog-park, itself is good sized. There's even a little batch of trees that allows there to sort of be two separate areas, in case someone wants to just have their dog away from other dogs or something (which happened with my u er friendly dogs, and a dog that was playing on the smaller side of the dog park). We went over to the larger side and there are trees to sniff. The grass is pretty good, not terribly muddy, but one of my dogs managed to find some mud and get it all over her (it was minor). This park is tucked away, so if you have not been there before, definitely GPS it and see where you need to go and what you're looking for, since there are 4 entrances to the park, with one entrance being the parking lot, and the other 3 being paths from neighborhoods.

Great outdoor barbecue area with seating. Covered area for buffet set up and storing food while you cook. Playground for small kids with sand volleyball court and field area for other games. Horseshoe pits (2) and bathroom facility. No basketball court is the only downside. Great shaded area when hot. Would come back.

North Albany Park is a wonderful spot for a day out with family and friends. The park is beautifully maintained, with plenty of green space for picnics, sports, and relaxation. There are well-marked trails for walking and biking, offering scenic views and a peaceful environment. Additionally, there are ample benches and shaded areas for those who prefer to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, North Albany Park is a fantastic place to enjoy the outdoors and unwind.

Awesome open space for your dog! Tends to get soggy in the winter because of runoff but I think they're working on it.
