Love sitting by the river. Also I've taken family Christmas photos here for 3 years in a row. My kids are all teens now and we Still have fun there.

Great place!!! Everyone should go!! 2 great gazebo’s, the Fox River Dam, restrooms, grilling (if you bring your own equipment.) Great for families with kids.

A spectacular place to be, lacking maintenance, unfortunately! Can't believe how a beautiful parkland has zero maintenance. Of all the big/small parks I had ever been to in or outside Ilinois, I had never experienced a park in such a bad shape. This riverfront park does need some serious supervision. The covered seating area, the fencing, the bushes around, are all covered in cobwebs, like an abandoned territory. I feel so happy & sorry at the same time to be here. The dam is gorgeous & the soothing sound of water could be heard from far away. Picnic benches, gazebo, views of the lake, radiant sculptures & a long peaceful trail with geese right along the way—what more can you ask for! Well, how about some maintenance? Parking: Use the designated parking across the street at the island park.

Having grown up in North Aurora, I’ve seen the Riverfront go through many changes over the years. I was initially bummed that North Aurora Days was no longer taking place at Clocktower Plaza. BUT upon arriving at the Riverfront, I was blown away! I’m so happy to see all the changes North Aurora has implemented and am excited to fly in year after year from Los Angeles with my family just for my favorite festival in the world. I love that this is becoming such a community gathering spot. There are so many places to sit, and best of all it seems that the bugs are under control!

Very nice place with flowing fox river lush green trails ideal for a day outing. Shades on other roadside for having food. Kids have small water ponds to play in water.
