One of my favorite parks for day and night walks. The grounds are pristine and well-maintained. Going here is always a blissful retreat and it’s always nice to spot the resident geese along the way.

North Lake Park is a lake park located in Woodbridge, Barranca Pkwy. in Irvine. It is a quiet and peaceful place where you can enjoy beautiful scenery like a scene from a movie. If you walk around the lake, you can see a flock of ducks. They don’t run away when you approach them, but rather approach people friendly. It seems like they are asking for food. In addition to ducks, you can also see cranes and migratory birds. It’s really nice to be able to enjoy beautiful natural scenery in the middle of the city. Irvine is a really great place to live.

I can't tell you how much I needed some time here recently. I headed there specifically to escape a mountain of stress, and it truly did the trick. There is something so incredibly soothing about that water—as soon as I started walking along the edge and watching the ducks drift by, I could actually feel my shoulders drop and my mind finally go quiet. It’s easy to see why everyone in the area loves this spot, but for me, it felt like my own private sanctuary for an hour. I spent most of my time just wandering the wooden docks and taking in the view of the beautiful homes reflecting on the lake, which honestly feels more like a resort than a neighborhood park. It was the perfect, happy reset button for my day, and I left feeling so much lighter and more at peace. If you ever feel overwhelmed and just need a beautiful place to breathe, this is absolutely the spot to go.

Take a mindful walk and lose yourself as you walk 1+ miles around North Lake. Ducks, geese, quiet calming water with beautiful mountain vistas. Get grounded...Hug a tree.
