Well worth the visit for quality outdoor time! I came across this place inadvertently while going to the Chumash Indian Museum. While there, I had a nice walk thru the woods under a canopy of oaks, while in Thousand Oaks! It was my good fortune to have met local guides Gary and Mary, who related information not seen on the signs. They mentioned how the city protects its namesake, keeping oak trees safe and preserving them for generations to appreciate! The Indian Museum and oak trails are on the south side of Lang Ranch Parkway. Also along the hill on that side is the separate Oakbrook Vista Trail, with the trailhead near the gates of the museum. To the north of the street, the neighborhood park side is more like the standard looking city park, tho beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained! There’s a children’s playground, picnic tables, pathways, a basketball court and a public restroom. Parking is free along Lang Ranch Parkway and inside the gates of the museum, which are closed at sundown.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
