While out and about today I discovered what looked just like another neighborhood park in Coral Springs. The park is located in and named for the 458 single family home Oakwood neighborhood that was built in 1979. The 7.2 acre park had the standard playground you see at many of the parks in Coral Springs, some basic outdoor exercise equipment, and benches. Although nicely maintained, there was nothing too exciting at first. After I started walking around on the paved exercise path that runs the perimeter of the park, I noticed a wetland area in the park. Here I found lizards hanging out, a pond apple tree, cypress knees, and purple pickerelweed. There were two short trails leading into the woods where zebra longwing and white peacock butterflies flittered around. One trail ends at a fence and the other one takes you out to the Stranahan River. I had the park to myself except for one other person exercising. My favorite part of the park was the wetlands portion and the wildlife it attracted. Come out and enjoy the fresh air, take the kids to play, picnic, and do some nature exploration. This park has it all.

This is a nice little park with playground equipment, including two sets of swings. There is a walking path, pull-up bars, and things of that nature for exercise.

Big perimeter to walk around with a variety of trees including royal poinsiettas, gumbo limbo, and others which provide nice color in the springtime. Also has a large , well maintained grass field to play ball or frisbee; never utilized when I go on the weekends. Also has the usual accomodations to keep kids entertained.

Just a little park but great for children. Little ones too. To bad they didn't put some sort of rubber under the slides, swings, erc instead of wood chips

This home owners association discriminated against me and I’m seeking legal help to help assist me with this organization
