This is one of my favorite places not just in Ocean Beach or San Diego but maybe planet Earth! It's so special watching all the pups playing, the humans surfing and relaxing your feet in the soft sand. Even with all the action I never witnessed a dog fight and most people are good about cleaning up after their pet. Even if you don't have a dog come soak up these positive vibes.

Expansive stretch of beach that allows dogs off leash. Free parking with super small spaces. Definitely a destination if your human and fur babies need a place to play at the same time. I recommend that you come by when it’s low tide.

Spent two beautiful days here. Worth every moment. Parking looks like a hassle but if you just coast through, you'll find a spot as people are usually coming and going frequently enough to get a spot fairly quick. Holly and Clyde here loved this beach and I know they'll be back.

Beautiful and tons of fun with many dogs. Just expect parking to often be tight right at the Beach and many dogs to be off leash. Also watch for "landmines" since many dogs are unsupervised

The best place to bring your pup. It's a large area so dogs have freedom to play with others, or have their own space. We visit every week. You can't help but be happy here. The parking lot can fill up in the summer so an early arrival is recommended.
