Elk Grove Park just south of Sacramento, California offers a shaded setting for picnics, parties, and sporting events. There are barbecues, restrooms, and a lake in the park. The facility is well maintained and very people friendly.

The park was a bit Dusty and real close to the Road way - Seems they put these parks in places no one would want to go to anyways, but just he same we were glad that there was a park to go to as it seemed every where we went in the state of California they just do not like dogs.... SERVICE ANIMAL or not - So - as we have been to much nicer parks with towns that have far less - That have done much better - sadly there is not much option in the ariea. Points to make Park is Dirty Park Is Loud with Road Traffic They could do better!!! Anyways ... if anyone can do better with photos of the Park - The actual DOG PARK .. really anyways .. here you go!!!

This is a decent park in a beautiful location. Fully fenced, water fountain for humans and dogs, a small cheap plastic pool for hot summer days, lots of room, and poop bags. It is probably medium in size compared to other dog parks I've been too. It only has one area so there isn't a small dog section but it is fully fenced. There are a few trees and also agility obstacles that can be fun for dogs who aren't as interested in play time. Kind of tough finding the entrance of the park but if you've never been you should come take a look at it! Conveniently off 99 as well. Only complaint is every time I've taken my pup I find more poop on the ground than I'd hope. Pick up after your self please and thank you!

Beautiful fall weather these days, and the park is clean and well maintained. There are lots of tables and open space to bring chairs or blankets, and the pond gives a great view. My only minor complaint is that the bathrooms get pretty dark in the late afternoon. Also, I personally have trouble seeing the East Stockton entrance before I pass it.
