It's unfortunate that it's closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Because they close the toilets along with the center, and when you come on the weekend, the children especially want to use them after a walk, but they're closed. In general, it's a very beautiful area, but there are too many people who don't follow the rules. For example, there's a sign that says "no bicycles or scooters allowed," but people ignore the sign and disrespectfully enter the area. Normally, I don't tolerate disrespectful people, so I warn them from time to time, but I get rude responses. Anyway... Maybe the authorities will read this and address the issue. Send feedback

So cool and educational! I took my husband and son (3 years old) for the first time, immediately greeted at the door and introduced to the nature center. While beginning to look an awesome snake feeding presentation began. There is a fun learning and play area for kids and the live animals are beautiful. After visiting, we walked the huge nature paths behind the facility.

Free entrance. Free parking. Okeeheelee Nature Center is a beautiful, well-maintained garden and trail. It’s a great spot for a peaceful walk, taking pictures, and enjoying the vibrant flowers and fountains. The landscaping is gorgeous. A perfect place to relax and unwind!

This nature center has such a beautiful trail. If you come early enough you can catch the deer feedings and right now they are hosting some fun summer activities for the kids like archery. The next one is Saturday July 5th at 10am

Great experience. We did the guided nature tour with Alex. She was terrific. All of the folks were extremely friendly and there are lots of trails to explore on tour own. Definitely something to check out with the family on a nice weather day.
