I recently spent an afternoon at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, and it was a really pleasant escape. The park is quite spacious, with plenty of walking trails, open fields, and spots to just relax. I enjoyed strolling around the lake and watching the wildlife—lots of birds and even a few turtles. The picnic areas were convenient, and it felt easy to find a quiet spot away from the more active areas. Overall, it’s a nice place to unwind, get some fresh air, and enjoy nature without leaving the city.

Probably one of the best parks I’ve been to in any state so far. Huge acreage has everything you would want in a park, beautiful views miles of walking paths. they have sports fields. They have obstacles in the lake. This place is amazing..

This is a fantastic park where you can have a wonderful time from morning till evening, with a wide variety of activities. We, as a family, love being here. You can ski, walk your dog freely or leave it in the designated dog park area, fish, play golf, ride a bicycle, scooter, etc. Or, like me, you can bring your coffee and a book and spend some quality time with yourself.

Okeeheelee park has been a good to place since I was first learning to fish as a child. They have lots to offer from parks with playgrounds, a dog park, water obstacle course, wake boarding course, etc. There is also a new ropes obstacle course that was just built. Lots of area to walk, run, and play. Many different playgrounds some with bigger Pavillions for parties. Also an exercise trail, golf course, and tennis.

It is a very clean and beautiful park, but PLEASE be aware and alert at all times. My leashed dog found a very venomous Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake right off the path when she saw an iguana and went to chase. We were right on top of the snake. No harm, but do not venture in the brush. Talking to others, there are many around even on the paths. This was on South side.
