I liked the the nice shaded trail that went alongside the creek. Nice experience being tucked away in the nature so close to the city. Super dog friendly. I don’t know if we walked the trail but I wish there was more to see landscape wise. Oh, there is a nice playground for the kids too.

Super sad. There is no more jumping into the water for swimming at this greenbelt. The rains have helped but gone are the days of jumping off this bridge. Still worth the trail. Super green. Beautiful surroundings.

The Onion Creek Greenbelt is the result of flooding in 2014 that wiped out a subdivision. Nearly 500 homes ended up being bought out and demolished and the area allowed to return to nature. It is so peaceful as the park is lightly used. There are decomposed granite paths as well as the streets that were the subdivion's thoroughfares. The entire area is off leash walking for dogs and the dogs just love it. One can easily get 3-5 miles in if you use all of the pathways and roads for your route.

Great park for a walk, well maintained trails go thru lush vegetation and fields of flowers. Convenient ample parking with restrooms. Also, it’s interesting to walk along former streets of flood mitigation area, where all the great trees are still in place, but houses are gone and streets turned into wide alleys with rest areas and playgrounds on the sides. (Talking about Onion Creek Metropolitan Park, if it's the same)

I have not been here in some years, the place is getting much better. My dogs LOVED it!! They love being off leash and this place lets them run all their energy off.
