My family and I visited last fall in late October 2025. Beautiful scenery to see even on a chilly day. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors. We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk and through the park that had plenty of walking paths, park benches, tall trees, playground and even public restrooms. Right next to the port of Rochester NY. We're looking forward to visiting in the summer. Beautiful lighthouse and historic carousel gives this place charm. Plenty of parking. Welcoming atmosphere in nature.

Ontario Beach is certainly worth a visit in my view. After visiting all 5 of the Great (if not very modest) lakes, I found this to be one of the best beaches (along with Presque Isle on Erie and Harrington Beach on Michigan). The beach is wide, the sand is comfortable (if cold in late autumn), the seagulls are majestic, the facilities are clean and well kept, the dock is especially impressive, with great views of the waves and ships on the lake, and the entrance fee is what I prefer: free. Superior Sinay says: Summer can get pretty crowded and late autumn can get pretty cold. May I suggest a late summer/earlier autumn visit for minimal crowds and maximum comfort.

Beautiful area blending autumn woods with beach views! Lots of dog walkers, sailing enthusiasts and people enjoying the beach vibes. Very hard to believe it's a lake!

What pretty area. The Pier is a beautiful walk, and looming back onto the harbour and foreshore. The Park along the foreshore would be wonderful for a Summer's get together.

A gem by Lake Ontario! This park is impressively well-maintained with thoughtful infrastructure—ample parking, clean restrooms, a small splash park for kids, wide lawn areas, and nearby restaurants. The soft, fine beach sand is a pleasant surprise and makes for a comfortable shoreline experience. Honestly, it’s better managed than many paid state parks. Highly recommended for families and casual visitors alike.
