Ouray Dog Park

Large wonderful dog park, but the ground is pretty muddy and there's a giant pile of wood chips on the other side of the fence and it's like: hey guys.. I've got an idea.. what if those wood chips were on the other side of the fence inside the dog park where the muddy ground is? what do you think about that? no? ok

Worth stopping at if in the area. There are two sections of the dog park, both big enough for the dogs to enjoy and run. All dogs seemed friendly. There was also several spots of water which was nice. One side has a decent amount of shade if your pups wants to take a rest.

Our Golden Retriever had a jolly good time, she enjoyed meeting new friends, and the kiddie pool! Although she was not able to use any of the fun activities shown here, because the equipment is for 25 pounds or less dogs.

The Quray dog park parking for large dogs is a small area to the left of the park after a bumpy dirt road. Small dog parking seems to just be dirt parking off to the right. The dog park is very large with ample seating for owners. This dog park is split in two, one for small dogs and one for large dogs even though the signs don't mention it. Both had water, and double gated entrances. The park may also share parking with disc golf so it's a little hard to figure how many people are there by cars.

Great sized dog park and usually friendly dogs here! But it is all dirt. There have been piles of wood chips sitting for at least over a year that have never been distributed. Sections are completely overgrown with weeds (nightshade), the fences are FAR too short, and NO ONE obeys the small dog section rules. There is a water spigot, but maybe bring a bowl.
